- Kindness -

Kindness is the sincere and voluntary use of one's time, talent, and resources to better the lives of others, one's own life, and the world through genuine acts of love, compassion, generosity, thoughtfulness, and acceptance. Moreover, kindness involves choice.

Kindness is — and always will be — one of the most beautiful and powerful forces for good that exists in the world.

- Tolerance -

The noun 'tolerance' stems from Latin for "endurance."

The capacity to endure what is difficult or disagreeable without complaining. The ability to deal with something unpleasant or annoying - or to continue existing despite bad and difficult conditions.

The willingness to accept behavior and beliefs that are different from your own, even if you disagree with or disapprove of them.

--------------------

- Cognitive Dissonance -

The term cognitive dissonance is used to describe the mental discomfort that results from holding two conflicting beliefs, values, or attitudes. People tend to seek consistency in their attitudes and perceptions, so this conflict causes feelings of unease or discomfort. This inconsistency between what people believe and how they behave motivates people to engage in actions that will help minimize these feelings of discomfort.

People attempt to relieve this tension in different ways, such as by rejecting, explaining away, or avoiding new information.

- Resilience -

Resilience is the ability to adapt to difficult situations. When stress, adversity or trauma strikes, you still experience anger, grief and pain, but you're able to keep functioning — both physically and psychologically.

However, resilience isn't about putting up with something difficult, being stoic or figuring it out on your own. In fact, being able to reach out to others for support is a key part of being resilient.
