CrypTone Big Money Antichess Arena

Ok we are finally here - on the eve of the weekend of March 12-13, otherwise known as the CrypTone Big Money Antichess Arena Weekend! I have been looking forward to this tournament for a long time and I look forward to paying some Crypto out to some Antichess pogs (is that the word?? Lol).

Some of you know me, but some don’t. I was one of the guys that played on FICS years ago (I was “tone” on FICS) and actually had to figure the game out without being able to reference a 3000 rated computer after every match, lol.

That said, I really enjoy the game. I took a 9-year break. I thought it was ten, but when I recently received Arimakat’s book I reached page 2 and found a reference to a game I played against StayAlive from 2012, so I guess I played a little more recently. Coming back has been fun and the new players are so ridiculously good. I am looking forward to seeing what they can do in this series.

Here are the rules/times etc.:

CRYPTONE BIG MONEY ANTICHESS SERIES
antichess tournament series the weekend of March 12 and 13.

Prizes will be awarded to the cumulative winner:
First Prize: 2.0 Litecoin
Second Prize: 1.0 Litecoin
Third Prize: 0.5 Litecoin

Additionally, there will be prizes awarded to anyone who reaches the podium in any of the events with a 100% berserk rate. These prizes will be known as TheUnknownKex Coins and they will be 0.25 Litecoin.

Time Controls:
Each arena will be 1.5 hours except for the long time control that will be 2 hours.

Scoring:
In each round of the series the top 10 finishers will receive points (10, 9, 8 ... etc.). The cumulative totals will determine first, second and third.
First tiebreaker will be the higher cumulative berserk rate
Second tiebreaker will be cumulative performance rating

Requirements:
(I) NO CHEATING: all games of winners will be checked and anyone who cheats will not get prizes including coveted TheUnknownKex Coins.
(II) 2000+ rating in antichess on Lichess
(III) No “alt” accounts - minimum of 200 games

Further, on March 12 there will be one tournament for players rated below 1800 (same requirements for number of games on Lichess).
