Nepo’s 5 mistakes
blog is meant to be a joke none of this is actual WCC coveragewhat cost Nepo the World Chess Championship... twice?
First of all, he sent FIDE the wrong order, and had to suffer for the rest of the match. Always read the small text. Ding was probably willing to share too.
Second, he watched himself in the resting room, breaking a psychological rule; you are not allowed to see your own pieces. This breaks your mind by reminding you that you are playing a game of chess.
Third, Nepo did not play the legendary 2... Ke2!!!, an oversight probably made by his seconds. Instead, in the final game, he opted for a simple, but losing line, which cost him the final, decisive game. Ding easily spotted the mistake, and converted his advantage.
Fourth, you can see he did not google en passant beforehand.
Ding: “Google en passant”
Nepo: >:C
Finally, he was never as ice-cold as Ding.
Ding:

Better luck next time, Nepo!
