Return to Boylston
Game + more Chess Books! This past week I found myself once again in Boston, so I paid another visit to the Boylston Chess Club - this time playing a "side game" in their Tuesday Swiss. There was an unpaired player who would have otherwise received the full-point-bye, so I gladly played with him. I know how disappointing it is to get that bye, and was happy to give someone a game.
Before the round started, I browsed their impressive(!) library - more photos of interesting books I found following the game.
The Game
My opponent was unrated and relatively new to tournament chess. Afterwards, we had a post-mortem where I shared some of the points that I recently wrote about in my blog.
