I know this is a free site and all, but please fix those intermittent situations, or at least find a way to put a game on hold if possible, just lost two games because of this. No to mention the time waiting for the interface to come back on line. I know that modders and administrators are doing the best they can. So if no solution is at hand. Just consider this a little venting. Thanks, I love the site by the way.
hello thanks for bringing up this subject regarding connection issues because i have been having this same problem for over a year and i have lost a lot of games and also i have had a lot of rating lost because of this and it also disconnects your VPN which should not happen and i am also thinking about stopping playing on this really good free website and i think the lichess server needs to be updated thank you.
Lichess cannot fix your connection to the server, it doesn't manage the traffic on the Internet. If you have persistent issues, check your connection with network diagnostic tool MTR and complain to your ISP. Could also very well be your VPN issue, in this case, you might need to complain to them or change the provider.

It is not the internet connection i have a monitoring system and I have done connection testing during the the reconnecting message the shows inside the games interface. This has nothing to do with my internet service, this is a problem with lichess.org servers or connections. There is another forum thread on this same subject. And many have this problem. Just now I lost a game which I think I was winning, in the end the server said I left the game when I didn't I was waiting for the server to reconnect. Please look into this.

Google search, works fine and fast
Speedtest.net testing works fine
Open other web sites they open ok.

you being able to connect to other servers doesn't mean it's a lichess issue. it can absolutely be still a problem with your isp:

1) Your download and upload speeds have nothing to do with your ping and latency.
2) Your ping and latency need to be checked between your location and France, which is where the Lichess servers are located.

The internet is like roads just because you can go from a to b fine does not mean a to c is fine there may be road blocks or other issues
Use the winmtr discussed #4 to see why the problem and who is to blame then Report your findings here pls dont show the first 3 ips as that is your private ip
