Funny pt. 2

This a continuation to my previous post :

Now, I want to say a few more words in regards to opinions vs. convictions (particularly as it pertains to the conflict in ukraine).

As the big news today is that a dozen of European leaders (+Zelensky himself) has flown to Washington to hold talks with Trump. So, here we can see (once again) the convinced mindset in full action.

You see, europeans (meaning the EU) are convinced that they (and Ukraine) are right, and that Russia is wrong. Why else would they fly to Washington to persuade Trump to side with them? And Trump is easily swayed, as has been proven time to time. Like when he met with president Putin, he did an almost 360º turn (to paraphrase a former German foreign minister). That ́s because Putin is - just like the europeans, except from opposite angle (re 360º) - convinced that he is 100% right.

So because there are two major powers (Russia and Europe) - with the third (US) sitting on a fence, not knowing whether to sit or stand - that lock horns in regards to Ukraine, this conflict won ́t stop anytime soon. That ́s at least my take on it. Only if the US either pulls away (which I think Trump personally most would like to see happen), or goes all-in (on either side), will this conflict come to and end, even if that would most likely lead to a nuclear war. But at least that would end the war (and all other wars too, for that matter).

Sorry for that, but this is how it currently is, in my humble opinion. But anyway, enough of this at least for now, thanks for reading and all that.

Bye!
