In atomic it’s the queen because you can basically use it as a ICBM if you get a good opening.

From a game design perspective I would have to say pawns are my favorite. Pawns impede the movement of every piece on the board. This makes the game progress at a reasonable rate.

My favorite piece in chess is the knight, but in racing kings, my favorite game, I have to say the bishop. They work great if you have two of them, because can create blockades that totally stump your opponent. If you only have one, you can still hinder the king and pin pieces easy.
my favorite knight because its forks are great
Queen
but is no queen then pawn becuase they can become queen, bishop, knight, or rook
