The Big Tournaments should be held in a Cycle.

I am sympathetic to the idea. A tournament should either last 24 hours or the starting time should increment with 1 hour per event. It is not only time zones, but also early birds, night owls, people who work at night...
For monthly tournaments, this means a full cycle will take 2 years, in which people won't be able to play for some months. What you could also do is make it +13 or +11 hours for each tournament. So lets say we start at +0 GMT and add 11 hours each time, then we have the following cycle which is much more varying:

-4
+7
-6
+5
-8
+3
-10
+1
+12
-1
+10
-3
+8
-5
+6
-7
+4
-9
+2
-11
0
+11
etc.
What you say is very true @savagechess2k , but even if the tournaments would be held in my timezone I wouldn't play them because of the awfully slow time control...
I think another way to go is different time controls for each big tournament.

Examples:
1/2+0
1+0
2+0
3+0
4+0
5+0
1+1
2+1
3+1
2+2
3+2 etc..
That's why I also support separating time controls for each variant.
But still, 1 fast, 1 slow would be better @risky-chess
like 1/2+0
5+0
0+2
3+2
1+0
3+0
etc.

this would be very very great.
