I will say, I have been planning a trip to Pittsburgh over Christmas to see some snow! Not exactly northeast, but close enough. Cover my plane ticket and lodging costs and I'll accept your challenge ;)

Instead of settling this "like men", you use your words. In a civilized way. Correct others in a civilized manner, don't go all out on a person who might have gotten facts wrong.

Kids do not do this at home! Only Professionally Qualified Stuntman can debate here. Lichess is getting kids friendlier everyday. @smhwhcoetsloetoeo

It might be a joke, it might not. Freedom of speech and civil liberties should not be messed with. @lichess can you please remove that post. There should be no room for such threats here.
Example that kind of stuff can get real:
Kenya Uses U.S.-Funded Antiterrorism Courts for Political Crackdown
Young people who took to the streets to protest corruption and poor job prospects could face decades in maximum-security prison under a set of laws set up to combat al Qaeda

Freedom of speech is for everyone, but this does not mean you can say anything.
The post I flagged makes physical and jail time threats to other users of this site.
Because free speech is for everyone but not for everything, I call for the removal of that post, not of the user.

No. the point would be to keep any other guns out, other than the security guards guns.

Suffocating is better then dead.

Of course nothing is full proof, but to say it's suffocating I do think is a little rash.
People work at secure building/work places, you'd basically have to say they work in a suffocating environment then.
>Or people could provide mental health support. But between the two the former seems to be the option most schools would pick.

Yes, that would help also.
But it won't solve the problem. because even if they institute better mental heth programs in the school system, it won't address mental health issues out side of the school.
And yes the could do more of that also but it will still be a issue.
> I hate to use the saying in this context, but where there is a will, there is a way. Shooters *will* shoot, and the only way to prevent it is adequate mental health support that prevents people from becoming so mentally ill and radicalized that this is the life they choose.

Your a christen, you know there's not going to be a perfect world until Jesus returns.
That doesn't mean we shouldn't try to help people, but let's not think this problems are gonna get fixed.
Unless all people except Jesus as lord and savior there will always be chaos.

Thanks for the clarification.
> You most likely did not hear about the Colorado shooting because of the wall to wall Kirk coverage, by the way. It buried most older news stories on the subject.
Makes sense.
Thanks for responding so soon. (^-^ )

@JesusIsSalvation
Workplaces are hardly more secure. They just are less desirable targets in some twisted mind that belongs to a school shooter.
I can hardly think of any method of preventing shootings that actually works. No open back door? A gun can easily shatter the front gate. Clear backpacks? One will find a way around that rule. Constant lockdown drills? Minimizes death, but does not help prevent anything.
Schools don't typically have security guards unless they are colleges, to my knowledge.
This isn't a case of incompetence as you present it. It's just simply impossible to prevent school shootings without gun laws. One has a much better luck preventing the radicalization that causes such mental illness. Unless you have a better idea of how to run things?
