Survey: 2022 Amsterdam Open European Antichess Live Championship

Hello! In case you didn't know, @ForgetNot and @BBLGL, two IAF representatives and tasked by the IAF to organize the first live, in person antichess tournament since 2005. We are greatly thankful to them and excited for this tournament. However, they require more information about participation statistics before they make any definite arrangments. The tournament will take place in 2022. They believe it will be set up in a Swiss tourmanent style, each player will have 6+0 tc, with each player playing both white and black, respectively, once, the tournament will probably cost less than 40 euros, though that may change depending on participation. There WILL be prizes and possibly, trophies.

That is why I am asking YOU:
1. Would you be willing to attend?
2. If not, what would be the cause (being money reasons, geological problems, etc)
3. Any other feedback you would like to give the directors of the tournament.

Hi people, just a few IMPORTANT things I would like to add.

The tournament is an OPEN European tournament, if you are from, let's say Brazil. You are still more than welcome to play!
THIS IS A 2 TO 3 DAY EVENT that will take place during the weekend (friday to sunday most likely!) and probably during the summer holidays in the Netherlands (July & August). If COVID-19 will however ruin these plans due to lockdowns, travel restrictions and what not. This event will be postponed to 2023.

@BBLGL and me @ForgetNot need to know how many people are likely to attend this event! Based on the numbers we will select a suitable facility in Amsterdam for the event. WE WANT TO KEEP THE ATTENDANCE FEE AS LOW AS POSSIBLE. Making it more interesting for YOUNGER PLAYERS to join this event too!

It is perhaps a bit much to ask from a lot of you. This event is still more than a year away from us! However, all information is of vital importance for a good organization of this event.

the idea of the two IAF members to organize the Dutch Championship and the European Championship is very good
It is good for the community to know by now that these Championships will be organized in 2022
But I think it's premature from my point of view to say if I will participate, because I will make my holiday plans this year for the summer of 2021
I want to participate, but a definite answer will probably be in April = May 2022

I suggest that you add prizes, to get more people to be interested in playing. It would be a very useless for me if i traveled the across the globe just to play an antichess tournament that I wont gain much from.

1. I publicly apologyze for talking in a rude way to @ChangeOpening some days ago I was upset and couldn't controll myself, what he's done for this community in amazing (I know it doesn't have to do anything with this topoic but I wanted to make that clear)
2. I believe this is a brilliant idea.
3. I didn't know there had been an antichess tournament before, could someone tell me more about it?
4. I won't be able to go unless a generous and wealthy antichess player pays for my flights lol

I would possibly attend depending on dates and timing. I will do everything I can to save for an event like this :)

I wasn't too happy either when the day before the World Championship started, you decided to retire. You can apply at any time at lichess.org/team/antichess-titles and you will receive the title back

@Nyghtguard It will be useless for you anyway. I don't think a 1400 is winning any prizes.

But you make a good point. The 40 euro entry fee will be nothing compared to the cost of a flight to Amsterdam.
