American Woman and Daughters Terrorized by Federal Agents

It's always a good chuckle watching Rachel Madcow on MS13NBC

But if she didn't exist the facts would still be that this happened to American citizens and President Trump can fix this.

There is nothing funny about this. What is wrong with you?

"Madcow"? How very sexist of you. That reporter is doing her job properly. Good for her.

Dumbly pretending MSNBC = MS-13. How funny is it??!

Interesting how some people react to such a report - a report btw that was done by a local news station, not by Rachel Maddow. That the typical MAGA's go into seclusion, probably in order to pretend they never heard of this, wasn't especially hard to predict. But that someone could stick out his head and exclaim something like "haha, funny story, worth a good chuckle" is astonishing.

What happened there is something that usually only happens in authoritarian states. Unidentified (and unidentifiable) government agents raiding your home and robbing you at gun point without any accountability at all - this reminds me of Nazi Germany or of South American dictatorships, not of a democratic country.

And if that happens in any democratic country I would expect every citizen to say that this is unacceptable and that there have to be consequences. Someone making fun of it instead and showing that he doesn't care at all for this blatant violation of law can only mean one thing: He is in agreement with these proceedings. He doesn't mind if the dear leader that he helped to elect turns the country into a fascist state. And he is a fascist himself, just like the bottom feeders that raided the Capitol on January 6th.

Is it too soon to recognize that this is what the USA has become?
Or too late?

I honestly don't know. Probably depends on two things. How strong the public protests and demonstrations against this development are. And if Republican members of Congress and the Senate are reacting to the protests and grow a spine when they realize that by complying with Trump and being just his marionettes they are abandoning their own jobs and their own political power.

In favour of the "too late" is the perception that they are so far nose deep in it that they think the only way to hang on for dear life is to keep their tongues busy. Historically, Republicans have had their spines removed as soon as they become candidates for public office, or so I am told. I'm not particularly well-versed on the more picayune matters of this, so ICBW.
