Modern School ECNCR Friendly Tournament

The Modern School ECNCR, Delhi is organizing a friendly ‘Inter-School Chess Tournament’ on
Saturday, October 30, 2021

1. System of Play:

• The friendly match will be played on the lichess website (Swiss Format) i.e. www.lichess.org

• How to join lichess:

On the browser

• Type www.lichess.org
• Click on SIGN IN on the top right corner of the browser window
• Click on the option to REGISTER
• Once you have created the user ID and Password, agree to all the terms and conditions of the website, click on REGISTER
• Click on the first tab – PLAY
• Under PLAY, choose the option for SWISS TOURNAMENTS
• Click on THE MODERN SCHOOL ECNCR FRIENDLY MATCH

It will be mandatory for all the participants to join the zoom meeting to participate in the tournament. Link for the same shall be shared on the same day via WhatsApp.

2. Time Limit:

• Each participant will get 10 minutes with a 15-sec increment from move 1.
• If a player runs out of time, he/she will automatically lose the game as per the rules of FIDE (World Chess Federation)

3. Anti-Cheating Measures:

There will be a team of Anti Cheating Moderators viewing all the games, any player found to be cheating (by Lichess or the Anti Cheating Team) will be disqualified from the tournament.

4. Prizes:

All the qualifying participants at the end of all the rounds will be awarded e-certificates.

5. Organising Committee:

The decision of the organizing committee will be final and binding concerning the fixture, schedule, match duration, and any other matter pertaining to the tournament.
