Over all, since I've been a member, my Blitz and Rapid rated games have been fluctuating by about : ± 250.
I used the highest - lowest rating to get that value. I guess that's my normal member rating deviation for that many years.
There are many personal reasons why my chess rating have fluctuated: Distractions, disrupted sleeping patterns and racing the clock.

In conclusion: I do not believe the ratings system is inflating or deflating. Today's younger players are stronger than in the past. If there was a historical rating distribution (progressive play by year feature) we might see some sort of pattern. lichess.org/stat/rating/distribution/blitz
