The formula you just told mostly applies to South Indian movies. There are some good ones out there, like PK or the Drishyam series (I'm not sure about these recommendations even though I have watched these)

Oh, don't talk about Drishyam and Drishyam 2. This series has the most suspense in the entire world, there can't be any movie which has been created till date which could involve more suspense than Drishyam. Mark my words.

also @ew-pawn, you seem to have *been* a bollywood lover. Cuz you don't seem to watch bwood movies now anyways. Dangal? 2016, that's 8 years ago. Ra.One? 2011, that's 13 years ago. Taare Zameen Par? 2007, that's 17 years ago. So, I'd just say one thing, change yourself according to the times man.
I personally can't watch old movies anymore because I just feel that irritation when I see bombs being blasted off with clear imagery that its generated by a computer and is just like a copy paste of that classic nuclear bomb explosion gif (used by mrbeast). It irritates me a lot. When one sees perfect CGI movies like Avatar, Jurassic Park, Star Wars and The Lord of The Rings, you can't see such movies. Example: I was recently watching "Ranneeti: Balakot and Beyond", and I have to appreciate the movie in itself, apart from one thing: the blasts in that movie are exactly what I mentioned above: copy pastes of that gif.

@TheChessTheorists i am the lover of the "old" bollywood movies, i grew up with them.. for now i rewatch or explore more old bolywood movies

but i also like to watch for example avatar jurassic park transformers type movies.. i know the quality for these movies matter but for bolywood old is the best in my opinion..
