Weekly summary and analysis #3

ChessAnalysis
New ranking record!

Introduction

Welcome to the third analysis of the chess week this year. As usual, I played one game every day at 15+10 tempo. This week I broke my rating record! This is a sign for me that I have finally managed to stabilize my chess skills. I don't have so many stupid mistakes anymore.

Game analysis

Today at the end of the week, after playing all the games of the week, I did a deeper analysis of the games. Of course, it is not as accurate as the analysis of the classical game, where I analyze without the engine at the beginning. Here I analyzed with the help of the engine.

During the analysis I check if I played the opening according to my studies. Then I look for moments where I made a mistake or failed to take advantage of my opponent's mistake. I transfer all these mistakes and oversights to a special study on Lichess called "Mistakes". In the study, I sort them by type (for example: tactic, strategy mistake, incorrect counting of variants, opening, endgame). That way I know what I have problems with and what I need to work on.

Statistics

Week #3:
January 13th ---> January 19th
Wins: 3 | Draws: 1 | Loses: 3
Ranking: 1924 ---> 1942
Ranking change: +18
Performance: 1970
Average accuracy: 82.3%

Conclusion

After analyzing my games, I know that I mainly have problems with realizing an advantage. In almost every game this week, I had an advantage that was enough to win the game, but unfortunately I did not manage to realize it in several games. In addition, I also had problems with endgames, this problem has been recurring for a week now. That is why I bought the book 100 endgames you must know, which I have already started working through. I hope that with its help I will finally learn to play endgames.

This week I made the following mistakes:

Type of mistakeHow many
Strategy9
Endgame3
Losing piece1
Losing pawn1
