Began playing at 24. Now 88. Recently moved from Grantham to Camborne. Played for Grantham in the Nottingham league but major part of chess career in Leics. In Leicester played and lost simuls against Botvinnik, Gligoric and 14-y-o Nigel Short but beat English Champion Littlewood. Best ever win - v Philip Wallis, many times Leics champion.
