I play mostly blitz (badly! blunder my pieces way too often... and I am not fast with the mouse). I like the blitz not for the blundering part but for learning more about openings and fixing areas where I am out of the book. As White I play 1.d4 (and sometimes I would play 1... e5 as Black against any move when the mouse thinks I am White), but essay an occasional 1.e4, 1.c4 or 1.b3. As Black I play the French and the Sicilian vs. 1.e4 and the Semi-Slav/Nimzo-Indian vs. 1.d4 or (with occasional ventures into the Benoni). I teach online (Wyzant) with custom materials for every student.
