I first played chess in the 1st Standard (age 6), in Bombay, at school. I played for fun and casually during the 3 months monsoons, on and off for a few years. I've probably played chess perhaps half a dozen times since my teens then until a few months ago, when I got hooked after watching The Queens' Gambit. For some reason, perhaps the current pandemic, or perhaps I just saw something in it which I recognized from years ago, but was only able to grasp it now. Who knows? I'm here now. And I don't quit easily!
Bobby Fischer and Garry Kasparov are my fav's.
