Next year's april fool should be Lichess lowering their ratings to align with
chess.com and fide, but that's asking for too much self-irony by Lichess.

FIDE officials will discuss today with Thibault and a team of mods. the meeting place is kept secret to avoid the paparazzi (in fact it is in La Baule, France). FIDE officials will offer Lichess a 10-year contract, giving Lichess the opportunity to adapt the FIDE ratings according to the glicko system and to formalize the Arena format for the next candidates' tournament.
Lichess and FIDE are glad to announce their partnership to make the world of chess better and hope for the greatest understanding and indulgence from the very demanding Lichess community.
