Recently I saw a blog with an AI created image (at least that's my assumption), which led me to wonder whether it is allowed for entire Lichess pages of content to be AI generated. So does anyone know whether this is allowed or not? I mean, if it was literally any forum and blog we had read could have been a fake post.

Why do you think that posting a low quality content that LLM generates would be a good idea and won't be frowned on?

That is not the question: Obviously it's not a good idea but will it be detected/banned or would it be allowed?

Nowadays AI is everywhere, so to detect and ban it would be far too costly, at least for a site like lichess, which - to my understanding - runs solely on donations.
So no, i don't think they will do anything as regards to AI-generated content. And why should they, the information is - to me atleast - the most important thing, not who wrote it. But then again, i rarely read the blogs anyway, so perhaps i ́m not in the best position to comment on it.

I think that in forums AI generated content is considered as spam and might get removed. In blogs thing are usually less restricted for instance advertisement is allowed. Though AI generated image on blogs should not be an issue as 1. they are not copyrighted 2. Images are not the main thing in a blog writing.

Well, you could always simply read up on this on the blog etiquette: https://lichess.org/page/blog-etiquette
This paragraph (under "banned content") is probably what you are looking for:
Content entirely or mostly generated by AI tools such as ChatGPT or other models. We acknowledge that AI tools can be useful for brainstorming, editing, and other tasks, and we don't have a problem with those uses. However, we expect all published content to reflect the author’s own (human) thinking and effort, and we reserve the right to restrict the visibility of content that doesn't meet this expectation.

This seems AI generated

I've been blogging here for a while and I'm debating whether it's a good idea to continue posting on lichess in light of the uptick in genAI content. It seems to have gotten much worse in the last few weeks and it's tough for anything to get much visibility as a result.

@NDpatzer Please do share your blogs. I personally look forward to your blogs. Your blogs offer profound insights, combine rigorous research with personal reflection. The depth and quality are valuable for chess players. This ongoing tug-of-war between AI and human authorship ( articles/blogs, etc) will continue, AI-generated articles lack the nuanced depth that human/writing delivers so well.
