How does a plateau breakthrough look like

In chess( also otb) I am on rating plateau. Even though I regularly work on my calculation and pattern recognition as well as otb game analysis, my rating does not go up ~1750 FIDE. During the games and also during the analysis I feel like having improved, but it does not show yet.

But now very recently I have improved my blitz rating(I guess playing a lot of games helps) and feel like again that ok/good moves come easier. Is this what a plateau breakthrough looks like?

I would be happy if people could share their experience.
Thanks!

I was at 1400FIDE (before the rating boost) for 3(!) Years. I am sure if I won myself then you can too. Now I am 2000-2200 range.

@TheMagnusAura thanks for your reply

What changed for you during that time?

Did you train / play differently before, took a break or what did you notice in general regarding that matter ?

You shouldn't expect to see results right away, comeasurate with effort spent . Chess learning isn't linear. Sometimes it can take time for things to be absorbed. And don't dwell too much on the rating. If you are getting better in a significant way you will feel it, regardless of whether the rating is following suit. Be patient, the results will come.

what I am interested in is, how the "rating following" will announce itself.
