Who came up with the term "You have the right to remain silent"?

Like, seriously, if someone said that to me, I'd be speedrunning out of the planet in 5 seconds. It's just so annoying.

Probably a dusty philosopher who wrote this.
Jesus remained silent when arrested, everyone's right, if you're going to be crucified anyway for no wrong doing , no point saying anything , 'they' will do whatever they want anyhow. xxx

Unless you distract them with personal insults.
oh, it has to do with the 5th Amendment, back then and even now when you have been arrested for a crime anything you say can be used against you so the right to remain silent is pretty much just not snitching or letting the cops twist your words ( this is an over-simplistic explanation)

Me after reading this *places one foot in Mexico*
Damned dogooders who value the rights of the criminal over the rights of the victim.
Who came up with the term "You have the right to remain silent"? - Professor Yale Kamisar 'Miranda Rights' ... It was designed to protect the innocent too! - :]
You have the right to cause an absolute verbal ruckus too they just don't want you to know that!
