The Intermediate Chess Tour will feature four events and six Tour players. If a Tour player cannot make one of the events, a Wildcard player will replace them for that event. Each performance in an event gives a set number of points.

If two players tie a match, they split the points.
Some events will use this instead of a third-place play-off or other ways.
Wildcard players cannot play more than one event.
The first event is the Rapid Challenge.
In a 15+3 six-player double round-robin, the four highest-placing players qualify for a 15+10 knockout.
The knockout matches are best of four 15+10. If tied 2-2, the first player to win a set of two 3+2 games goes through.
The second event is the Action Challenge.
It is a 25+15 Six-player Round-robin. The four highest-placing players qualify for a 30+20 Knockout.
The knockout matches are best of two 30+20. If the players tie 1-1, the players play a best of two 15+3. If this is also a tie, they play Best-of-two 3+2 matches until someone wins.
The third event is the Blitz Challenge.
It is a 3+2 six-player quadruple round-robin. The four highest-placing players qualify for a 5+3 knockout.
The knockout matches are best of eight 5+3. If tied 4-4, the players play best of two 3+2 matches until someone wins.
The final event is the Classical Challenge.
60+30 two-game Matches between first and second in the tour standings to decide first in the event,
Third and fourth in the tour standings to decide third in the event
and fifth against sixth in the tour standings to decide fifth in the event.
