Qualification criteria:
"ACWC 2022 rules - II B" and account created before September 2022.
Tournament Format:
Stage 1: Swiss tournament like ACWC 2022.
Stage 2: Top players compete in two separate groups for a round-robin tournament with the top two from each group advancing.
Stage 3: Semi-Finals, Third Place Playoff and Finals
The number of players qualifying to stage 2 is:
1-16 players: The tournament doesn't take place
17-32 players: Top 6
33-64 players: Top 8
65-128 players: Top 10
128+ players: Top 12
The two groups in stage 2 will be the [1st,4th,5th,8th,9th,11th] and [2nd,3rd,6th,7th,10th,12th].
Match format:
The scheduling rules of ACWC 2022 apply.
The time control will be 1+2. All games will be rated and will be played on liantichess.herokuapp.com.
If liantichess has some problems, the matches can be played on other platforms, but should be informed to one of the Tournament Directors.
To calculate tiebreaks better, all 10 games must be played even if a player has already reached 5.5.
